1:08:42 :: 10 miles

Easy run. Felt like absolute crap. I generally don't run well following a rest day, and today was no exception. Niggles were fine, but the stride just felt awful and clunky. Couldn't wait to get out the door this morning, and after a mile or two, couldn't wait to get done.

I thought you were weaning yourself from those rest days. I honestly think it takes a few days to feel the benefit of actual rest. Glad to hear the niggles are better. Are they anything like the Wiggles? I hope not 'cause they're damn annoying.

I thought I was, too. I made it nine or ten days, so we'll call that progress. I'm hoping to eventually keep up a pattern of 27 days on and one day off, with the off day coming during an overall rest week. In this way, I hope to stay in phase with the moon and the creatures of the night, with whom I spend much of my running time. Hello, bunny. Hello, squirrel.

I'm serious about the 28 day cycle. Not so much about the forest creatures.

Wake up, Jeff! It's time to die!!!!!!!

Hey, I made 14 runs before taking a rest day! I'd call that weaning. I don't wean a lot, but to me, that's a good weaning.

You, my friend, could stand a rest day now and then. We need to wean you off of 364 straight days of running every year.

Weaner.

Hey, as long as you are weaning yourselves off of the rest days, can you also wean yourselves off of some of that speed. You guys are just way too fast.

Just kidding...well, actually not. Oh well.

I guess that's only a little over two weeks off a year, which seems reasonable enough. I think I have a few days scheduled off over the last two weeks, but I'm not looking forward to them. How was the race?
