I went looking for a reason, and found this, which indicates that the problem has been going on for some time. It's a long article, and kind of hard to follow. Here are the important bits:
So how can I, as a Blogger user, help to resolve this problem?
Be aware of Blogger specific security issues.
o Strengthen the password on your Blogger account.
o Do not delete your blog, even accidentally. If you do delete it, reclaim it, immediately.
So, please be careful. Change your password to something eight characters or longer, write it down, and put it in a safe place like your wallet or Mike's purse (ha!). And consider doing a backup of your blog content. Blogger doesn't make backing up easy, but it's something.

GET A MAC!
And hey, that new iPhone would certainly fit in my purse along with my passwords. While I agree no computer is ever absolutely secure, Macs definitely have the upper hand here.
Trying to stifle...smug response...strong urge to spout...IT WON'T HELP. This isn't a virus, or spyware. It's a brute force hack against your blogger account, on blogger's servers. Doesn't matter if you have a Mac, a PC, or Linux...if you have a weak password on your blogger account, you could see some poor quality porn show up on your site.
I would carry a purse for an iPhone. Hell, I'd carry your purse for you for an iPhone.
You're obviously feeling better.
Sigh. You're right, my 123 password gets changed...tomorrow.
