1:01:36 :: 10 miles

Moderate run. First mile in 7:00, then 6:17(144),6:09(149),6:14(152),6:10(155). Took off the f-ing facemask and continued on in 5:59(156), 5:58(158), 5:56(159), 5:56(160), 5:52(159). Once I got rid of that damn facemask I felt a lot better. Marc left a comment last week about that. The facemask I use is made of neoprene and has a bunch of holes punched in the mouth area for breathing. It must not be very effective though because with that thing on I am going into O2 debt at 6:15 pace. All the same, I'd hate to start cutting it up and turn it into a piece of garbage.

Good run. Very nice to be feeling controlled and comfortable at six minute pace already. Recovery to 120HR in 57 seconds, to 110HR in 1:30. A little bit slow, still feeling the long run I'm guessing.

Function or fashion: the choice is yours.

Regarding your long run post - nice run to cap the week. Around here it is not so much convertable vws that present problems, but big ass trucks. There is an inverse relation between the size of the truck, loudness of the truck, and number of empties in the bed to the amount of room they yield to runners.
