Total meltdown. Just kidding. I imagined myself running wayyy up Nor'east alongside Andrew and Canada Mike as the rain poured down on ice covered roads this morning. What weather we are having in Algore's Brave New Superheated World! Forty-one degrees and rain during the run, and plenty of snow and ice left over from last week to boot. Blessedly, there was almost no wind. Unfortunately, there was almost no traction either. The goal was recovery, and recover I did. Eight miles on the road and another three on the treadmill, averaging just over 7:20 pace. The effort was nearer to 7:00, but with slipping, skating, and outright stopping to find traction, the pace slid along with me. No bother.
Feeling good, ready for a quick one tomorrow.
