Yeah, it's been quite a while since I've had any real rest at all, so I'll take it as a blessing.
I won't be doing a 30 miler. I've done my experiments with 26 and 28 last year, and up to 24 this year. I've found that no matter what pace I do those runs at (fast, medium, slow), when I go over about 22, my legs don't recover as quickly, and I end up spending an extra day or two running slow, recovering from soreness or general fatigue.
The value of running over the marathon distance in training for a marathon is debatable, and it doesn't seem to work for me anyway. I know the Asians and Italians do some runs over 42k. Fortunately, I'm not Asian or Italian, so I feel no peer pressure whatsoever. :)
Thanks. I think I am in decent condition, but I am anxious to see how some of my long pace runs go after the roads are dry and I can get out in less gear. Then we find out who is right, and who is dead.
I will call upon the Bulgarian voodoo gods for that 30 miler. LOL When the snow disappears, we need another TT from you. I've been counting the days and it's been too long. But what do I know anyway.

Whatever
I like your 1 word summary.
It was good that you cut your mileage to 60%. I see nothing wrong with that.
Will you do the 30 miler in March? Probably not. I was just curious.
Your condition in your conditioning phase is very good.
