1:06:00 :: 11 miles

MP workout. A bit cool (26F), but very light winds made it nice workout weather. Two mile warmup in 13:12, then:

5:35(154) | 5:34(157) | 5:36(159)
5:35(159) | 5:39(160) | 5:38(159)
5:37(160) | 5:37(159)

:36(130) :48(120) 1:04(110)

Built up a very good rhythm and held it steady. Felt easy and strong all the way through. Good run.

I was really impressed with your back-back 17 milers. You aren't going to sneak off and run an ultra are you?

haha =)

No. My dial only goes to 26.2!

Mine only goes up to 21.0975. I don't count 6' - that's a walk/run.

Marathon pace? Does that mean you're targeting sub 2:30? HR was nice and steady throughout.

Glad the weather is 'warming up'. It's 'cooling down' here: 6 to 19C today - brrrr ;)

… a solid workout, very consistent. Impressive.

Six Foot doesn't count?! You're too humble. Either that, or the heat down there has cooked your egg. =)

Mystery Coach and I are definitely targeting sub-2:30, and I believe I can do it this time out, but I have no expectations of sub-2:30.

Calling the workout 'Marathon Pace' is kind of arbitrary. It's just a name for a certain level of effort. Last year, I was doing a lot of 'MP' at 5:42-5:45 pace, and I ended up running 5:52 pace for the race. So, the workouts look promising, and I'll just keep working until race day and see what cooks up.

Thanks for the comments and kind words. Cheers!

Thanks for the explanation. The workouts do look promising.

Sadly, our heat is on the wane - only hot enough for a soft-boiled egg today (19C again), unlike the fried of a month ago.

You have disappeared from my radar. There you are. Where have you been? Training secretly? LOL

Finally found you. Boy I got a lot of reading to catch up.
