2:20:00 :: 20.7 miles

Long run. A little bit sore at the end, but fueling wise, everything went very well (as compared to the multiple failed runs over the past few weeks). Pace was faster than expected from the start. Had to dial back a bit after the first two miles. Legs feel good a few hours later. I'm feeling like I'm back on track! A few more weeks of good results and I will be much happier.

solid run. This is the GRIND month. Easy to fall victim to Mother Nature's cruel skullduggery regarding the weather. Shorts one day and back to gloom/snow and wind the next. This too shall pass!

Sounds like your legs are used to the 1:30 - 2+ hour runs. That's always pleasing.

That's good news.

Do you have any pre-marathon races planned?

Wynn, ain't that the truth! February is hard, but it's no rollercoaster of emotions like March. Cruel is right.

Well, Ewen, right now, I don't even know if I have a marathon planned! If things are looking good for a June marathon, I will probably try to sneak a half in around mid-May. If the marathon doesn't look like it will come together, I'll probably shoot for a 5k/10k season, with a marathon build in the late fall.

We'll see how it all comes together!

Thanks Eric. As our daylight hours are waning yours are lengthening, so it's all downhill from here (as in running downhill). Good luck.

I'll keep an eye on the unicorn.

Its a great feeling to almost reach the spring! like walking through a long dark cold tunnel, freezing your bullocks off and then seeing a warm glow of sunlight at the end!
glad to see you have made it through in good shape, looking forward to reading some impressive race reports later in the year!

It was only a matter of time until you'd type the words "back on track". Looking good.
